I am a multidisciplinary artist born and raised in the untamed urban landscape of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, in 1977.
Much like a teenager, Vancouver was a wild and gangly creature, and this shaped my formative years.
My environment encouraged self-discovery and industriousness.

When I was four years old, we moved to the Fraser Valley, and the creasote-scented steel and wood-paneled walls of my formative years were replaced with sun-baked asphalt and tree sap-scented air.

Vancouver remained a place of the past and a symbol of my adolescence.

I took many dozy summer car rides home from playing in sun-warmed sand, being dazzled by the enormous crab sculpture in the sparkling water beneath the Vancouver Museum and H.R. MacMillan Space Center.

In my twenties, Vancouver would again become my home. I ran a not-for-profit arts organization and produced events with theatrical performances by Marta Marta Hop, Little Woo, Mind of a Snail Shadow Puppetry, and The Mondo Spider by Johnathan Tippet. Music by many local DJs and The Carnival Band.

These events were creative and inspiring, and I learned to establish connections with other artists, many of whom I have today.
But my first love had always been fine art, and I returned to a regular drawing and painting practice.
I moved to the Sunshine Coast in 2010, and I find myself once again immersed in incredible and expansive beauty.
As a painter who enjoys the challenge of painting landscapes, I am at no loss for inspiration.

I am a self-taught artist working in color pencil, acrylic paint, and watercolor, and currently learning digital media to add to my repertoire.

I am currently open for commissions in landscapes and portraiture.

I live with my family in Roberts Creek on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia.
